With great weather and incredible rock formations, Red Rock Country offers an easy network of trails with some of the best views you’ll find anywhere. Add the capital of Arizona as the perfect jumping off point for your tour and you’ve got the perfect active adventure.

Day 1: Phoenix & Sedona
Welcome to Phoenix! You’ll need to make sure you arrive into Phoenix in time to meet your leader and the rest of the group at 9 am to kick off your tour. Once you’ve all gathered, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic drive of approximately 2 hours to the beautiful desert town of Sedona. There is so much to see - perhaps take a jeep tour with views of some of Sedona’s most magnificent rock formations, explore the Palatki Heritage Site, check out the stunningly unique Chapel Of The Holy Cross or come face to face with local artisans at the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. This evening perhaps head out for a group dinner.
Day 2: Sedona - Sacred Canyons Loop Hiking
After breakfast, join your group on the Sacred Canyons Loop for spectacular scenery and the chance to learn more about Sedona’s First Nations history. Walk along the Long Canyon Trail to Deadman's Pass Trail and on to the Mescal Trail which circles Mescal Mountain and passes not one, but two, sacred canyons. See Native American cliff dwellings and learn about the architecture and daily life of the Sinagua People, with a stop to enjoy a tasty picnic lunch along the way. Back in Sedona, the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.
Day 3: Sedona - Mountain Biking
After breakfast, swap your legs for two wheels on a guided mountain bike ride along the Bell Rock Trail, one of the most extensive, best-connected trails systems in the USA. Your expert mountain biking guide will lead the way along this mellow trail with plenty of ups and downs to keep things interesting. If you’re more experienced, you may like to pick up speed and get some air along the way. The evening is yours to enjoy back in Sedona where you can relax at the hotel or perhaps join your group at one of the town’s bars or a local restaurant for dinner.
Day 4: Sedona & Jerome - Verde River Kayaking
Get ready for adventure and a full day of fun. First up, you’ll take a guided kayaking trip on the Verde River which has easy-to-navigate rapids and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way. After Verde River, drive to the town of Jerome, an original mining town that was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1967. Wander the streets and soak up the town’s history. Perhaps opt to stop for lunch at The Haunted Hamburger which is famous for being (truly) haunted. On the way back to Sedona, stop at the Tuzigoot National Monument and explore the ruins of a village dating back to 1,100 AD. You may like head out for an optional group dinner tonight to celebrate the penultimate night of your trip.
Day 5: Sedona to Phoenix
After breakfast, you’ll make your way back to Phoenix. Along the way, stop at Montezuma Castle, a five-story building with 20 rooms built into the side of a cliff by the Sinagua People. This significant structure was declared one of America’s first National Monuments by President Roosevelt in the early 1900s. After your arrival in Phoenix at around 2 pm, you are free to depart at your leisure. If you would like to stay on in Phoenix, we would be happy to book additional accommodation for you (subject to availability).
