Adventure Holidays - Eastern Galapagos Cruise

Eastern Galapagos Cruise

Ecuador

From £4,779 P/P

The UNESCO archipelago and its 50,000 square mile marine reserve is known as the unique ‘living museum and showcase of evolution’. This trip allows you to explore 8 of the 19 Galapagos islands from on board the Santa Cruz II and gives you the chance of spotting 13 of the 'Big 15' species. The trip starts and ends in Baltra and takes you on a tour of the Eastern Galapagos islands, the oldest islands in the archipelago. Each day has a morning and afternoon visit, accompanied by a naturalist guide, with the option on most days of also going snorkelling or kayaking. Highlights of the trip are the sea lions of Mosquera Islet; Punta Pitt, the most eastern tip of the archipelago to see the red-footed boobies on the island where Darwin first set foot in the Galapagos; the endemic land iguanas of Santa Fe, and a visit to the world-famous Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz, before heading on to top-rated Española and North Seymour, with an in-between stop at Eden Islet.
