Easy hiking/walking with minor height differences up to 500m. Walking times of up to 5 hours per day and about 15 to 20km per day on easy and well-maintained walking paths. Good basic level of fitness is required though routes are well sign-posted and close to public transport where possible.


Bigger height differences compared to the Easy Walks, usually up to 1000m. You will walk on trails, sometimes on high ground so a fear of heights needs to be overcome. Good levels of fitness and stamina with confidence to walk on uneven ground. No technical requirements. Daily walks with walking times of up to 5 hours (sometimes a little bit longer depending on your pace) with slight alterations in altitude.


You ideally will have experience of mountain walking or completed some long distance walks. The change in altitude and/or distances increases somewhat with tours of this category and can be over 1000m on some days. Additionally you mainly walk on walking trails which require surefootedness and in some sections a head for heights. Expect daily walking times from 4 up to 6.5 hours, including small summit ascents. Hence a good fitness level is necessary in order to enjoy the high altitude paths.
